I've tried espresso makers that sit at around the $30-40 price-point, and they definitely leave a lot to be desired. I also cannot bring myself to spend a couple of hundred dollars for an espresso maker that comes closer to actually pulling a decent shot of espresso. The Aeropress actually looks likes an awesome alternative for a coffee/espresso maker. When i get my hands on one of these, maybe I'll write up a review.Link
