The 7 Wonders Have Been Updated

Of the 7 wonders of the ancient world, only one of those structures actually still exist, that is the pyramids of Giza. So, we have a new set announced on July 7th. Here are the new 7 wonders:

The Great Wall, China

Petra, Jordan

Christ Redeemer, Brazil

Machu Picchu, Peru

Chichén Itzá, Mexico

The Roman Colosseum, Italy

The Taj Mahal, India


I don't really know how the pyramids of Giza isn't on the new list. The article says:

"The pyramids of Giza, the only surviving structures from the original seven wonders of the ancient world, were assured of retaining their status in addition to the new seven after indignant Egyptian officials said it was a disgrace they had to compete."

Sounds to me like the pyramids have been plutoed.
